Why should you apply for the Pension Quality Mark?
The Pension Quality Mark (PQM) is a quality standard recognised by the pensions industry. Why you apply for the Pension Quality Mark might depend on your overall business objectives. With the PQM you can:
- attract and retain high calibre employees
- demonstrate you are a responsible employer
- ensure your employees have confidence in your pension scheme
- help to encourage your employees to save for a comfortable retirement
- benchmark your scheme against competitors
NAPF research shows that:
- over two thirds (67%) of employees said that if they were looking for a new job, they would feel more favourable towards a potential employer if their pension scheme had an independent quality mark.
- nearly two thirds (62%) of employees, with an opinion, would view their employer in a better light if the company’s pension scheme had an independent quality mark.
What happens once your scheme qualifies for the PQM?
- You will receive a certificate confirming compliance with the PQM standards, which you can display in your workplace.
- The name of your scheme will appear on the PQM website. With your permission, we might want to use your scheme as a case study in presentations and with the press, giving you further exposure.
- You will be able to use the PQM logo on all your scheme communications such as websites, annual statements, headed paper, etc.
