The Friend of the Pension Quality Mark (PQM) is an initiative designed to recognise companies in the pensions industry who work to promote PQM, and encourage employers and schemes to reach the required standards and make an application.

Who can become a Friend of PQM?

Any company providing client services to pension funds can become a Friend of PQM provided they are committed to support and actively promote the Mark. Current Friends are companies such as pensions, investment or employee benefit consultants and advisers, independent financial advisers and pensions providers.

What are the benefits of becoming a Friend of PQM?

Each Friend will receive a certificate that can be displayed on their premises, and can use the Friend logo on their letterhead and literature. We will maintain a public list of the Friends on its website and will promote their work through press releases and other communications.

We also provide PQM promotional materials such as leaflets and PowerPoint slides. Where possible the PQM team will speak at client events or train the Friend's staff on the PQM.

What does a company need to agree to become a Friend?

The PQM team will agree individual objectives with each Friend, depending on the company's business nature and activities. These may include:

To explain and promote the PQM in the relevant company literature and communications
To promote the PQM at relevant events and in presentations
To make applications on behalf of the clients
To champion the PQM initiative and the PQM standards
To include the PQM in company's own marketing plans
