Nigel Stanley has been a Trustee Member of NEST since 2011, where he chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Investment and Determination Committees.
He was Head of Campaigns and Communications at the TUC from 1997 until 2015 where he was responsible for the organisations media, new media, public affairs, publications and events. He led much of the TUC's work on the pension policies the flowed from the Pensions Commission. He has also been a Trustee of the TUC pension scheme.
Before the TUC he freelanced in public affairs and journalism after working for Robin Cook MP and Bryan Gould MP.
He is a Governor of the Pensions Policy Institute.
